A Moment of Good Luck

One of the most difficult things to do in photography is to take a picture of 2 or more people where everyone is looking at the camera and no one is blinking, or looking awkward. So when I happen to get lucky and accomplish this feat, on the very first try, I start feeling very accomplished.

Can you guess what I said to these girls to get them all to smile so beautifully at the same time?





Then, later at that wedding, I was graced by this wonderful rainbow. I only had about 30 seconds to deal with it before it faded away, so it's no great masterpiece. But it makes me happy anyway.

Bear Trap Fork Trail to Lake Desolation

Amelia and I made our way up the mountain via the underused Bear Trap Fork trail. We went all the way over the top and back down the other side to Lake Desolation. We were two worn out Wildes by the end of it, with muscle aches and sunburns for our troubles. But well worth the pain I can only assure you.

Rachel & Reggie in the Woods

I dragged my girlfriend, and her dog, up into the woods to take some hot pictures yesterday. Why not? It was something to do, and it seemed like a good idea at the time.
